Library Theodoret Compendium of Heretical Fables

On Severus

Severus, succeeding to this man’s teaching, named those deceived by him from his own appellation. From this some call the Encratites Severians. These also cast out the Letters of the divine Paul and the history of the Acts. Against these Musanus writes as advocate of the truth, and Clement the Stromateus, and Apollinarius, who became bishop of the holy city in Phrygia, and Origen.
