The Word feat duduk
A reverent reflection on the living Word of God, his light, truth, and testimony.
This was the second song I recorded after giving my life to Christ. It was shortly after I was baptized by the Spirit, which came earlier for me than my final water baptism. I was raised a Christian and baptized when I was young but felt like I was just going through the motions then. Now that I understood the meaning and what I was doing it for, I felt it appropriate to get re-baptized.
This song was meant to reflect the feeling of receiving the true name of the Son of God after thinking it was Jesus for all my life. To be clear, the name Jesus is just fine to use, but it is not His birth-given Hebrew name. It is His name transliterated into Greek, which was a messy process. His true name is Yahshua, and this song was intended to evoke reverence in the revelation of finally understanding His emergence from Yahweh, from being the Wisdom of God to becoming the spoken Word of God.
