Questions on Exodus 63: The right shoulder and the breast for the priest
For what reason did he prescribe that from each sacrifice offered for salvation the priest should take the right shoulder and the breast?
Through the breast he requires of the priest the rational and the contemplative—for the breast is a covering of the heart. Through the right shoulder, right action. For faith is not enough for salvation, but needs works for perfection.
