Questions on Exodus 32: Why no manna was given on the Sabbaths
Why did he not supply the manna on the Sabbaths?
Because he had legislated the Sabbath rest for them alone, he taught them by deed to keep the commandment. He did not halt the course of nature. For the sun rises, and the moon likewise, and the clouds bring forth rain, and winds blow, and women give birth, and the kinds of irrational creatures do the same.
